As a REGIONAL POINT OF SERVICE, the Centre d’intégration en emploi (CIE) Laurentides promotes the region and its services in the Greater Montreal area, particularly those specifically dedicated to immigrants, as well as the many attractions and regionalization activities happening in the Laurentians, in addition to the actions undertaken by other socio-economic actors.
Through the multilingual portal CLIC LAURENTIDES, immigrants can quickly access a directory listing all the resources in the region. In addition, they can familiarize themselves with the territory and its many attractions. CLIC Laurentides is the tool of choice for our partners in the Laurentians and Greater Montreal area, as well as for immigrants wishing to live, study, work or do business in the Laurentians.
Particular importance is given to activities and services related to attraction, regionalization, welcoming and settlement, integration into the business world and training, francization and entrepreneurship. However, general information is also provided to immigrants in the Greater Montreal area regarding daycare services, access to property, health services, the socio-economic profile of the region, tourism, public transportation, etc. In all cases, our job is to REFER immigrants who wish to make the Laurentians their home to the various resources that can help them, based on their needs.
The Centre d’intégration en emploi Laurentides is also the regional reference helping to guide immigrants towards their integration in employment or training, in order to promote the use of their full potential and their fair contribution to the region’s labour market.
Our team of specialized counsellors works to help newcomers understand and become familiar with the mechanisms, rules, operations, realities and specific culture of the Quebec labour market and school system, particularly with regard to the procedures for recognizing educational achievements and evaluating studies completed outside Quebec.
Our team helps immigrants find and keep a job that matches their profile, choice and skills. We help immigrants develop their employability and acquire work experience in Quebec. Furthermore, we facilitate access to and full use of resources, services and programs offered in the area of employment integration, all free of charge!
